The Marmalade Pantry

 <Crispy Pork Belly>

The skin wasn't as crispy as I would like it to be. But meat was packed full of flavour and kept moist. Yums!

 <Limonata>

Famous for their cup cakes. I decided to take my chances with a lemon cup cake. It was rich, moist and light at the same time. The icing at the top was a little too sweet though.

<Bread Pudding>

Surprise, surprise! This is not the bread pudding that I am used to. Gone is the entire bowl of mush. This rendition of the dessert is simply wonderful. With the warm and moist warm pudding wrapped in crispy filo pastry on a bed of caramel topped with creamy vanilla ice-cream. It has every texture and sensation a food enthusiast would love in a dish. HOWEVER! You got to try eating this fast. Otherwise, like what my friend described after 10mins or so, the filo pastry felt like Tau Kee (Bean curd skin). Lol!

Verdict
Ambience - Good
Food - Great
Cost - $45 per pax
Overall - Must try!

Taratata Bistrot

 <French Onion Soup>

Large enough for 2 persons to share, the soup was robust and flavoursome. Loved it!

 <Lobster Bisque>

Some lobster bisque that I had before was a little stronger in the alcohol department. This was a little more subtle and should please those who prefer a stronger taste of crustaceans. However, sadly what you get inside the soup are not pieces of lobster, but prawns.

 <Baked Sea Scallops with Morney Sauce and Mushrooms>

Tasty! Not overly creamy or cheesy. The scallops were fresh too. Diners with a small appetite should love this.

 <Grilled Angus Ribeye with Scented Cognac Black Pepper Sauce>

Everything was good, including the fries. Black pepper sauce was surprisingly not overpowering and complimented the tender beef perfectly.

 <Pear and Chocolate Layer Cake served with Pear Sorbet>

The balance of this dessert was spot on. Add little crunch to it and it would have been perfect.

<Grand Marnier Souffle>

Fluffy like a cloud and moist on the inside. This souffle should provide the indulgence needed for anyone.
